        BIENVENU IN PARIS
        CITY OF LIGHTS AND ROMANCE

Please let me show you all my favorite places.
I will also try and tell you about the
wonderful history of this beautiful city.
I love Paris and hope you will too.

        Eiffeltower

The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 according to plans of engineer Gustav Eiffel. At 320 meters it was then considered the tallest building in the world. Originally the Eiffel Tower was built as a temporary structure to commemorate the centennial of the Revolution. Since then the Eiffel Tower has become an enduring symbol of the city of Paris.
On a clear day you can see the whole of Paris from the top platform.
There is also a beautiful cafe there, come join me for some croissants and cafe au lait. Are you getting hungry? Hurry up then and get here!
Now let's walk down the Champs Elysees, the elegant avenue aiming toward the Arc de Triomphe.I love those chestnut trees, lots of bark to sharpen my nails on.
          paw-walk

Arch of Triumph The Arch of Triumph was built in memory of Napoleon's Great Army.

NotreDame This major french cathedral is a masterpiece of gothic architecture. It's construction
began in 1160 and was finished in 1345. Napoleon crowned himself Emperor right here.
We mostly remember it as the setting in Victor Hugo's novel "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" What a movie, sent chivers down my spine too.

          Place des Vosges

A famous 17th century square with some of the most beautiful parisian apartments.
Victor Hugo lived here from 1832 to 1848 while writing most of his novel "Les Miserables".
I wonder how much one of those apartments will rent for today?
Lots and Lots of Catnip, right?

          SacreCoeur

This beautiful white chapel is built high up on Montmartre
overlooking all of Paris. It was built in devotion to the
sacred heart of Jesus after the 1870 disaster and the civil war.
It is a place of pilgrimage where all are welcomed.
I think I will also say a prayer for all my loved ones.

VersaillesVersailles the beautiful palace of the Sun King Louis XIV is about half an hour by Moochtrain from Paris. Wanting to escape the busy life in Paris, Louis had this chateau built in which he set up home and installed the government. Hey I can see hundreds of me in the famous Halls of Mirrors. I am one good looking tomcat. Look
at those beautiful water fountains. I could get used to living here.

It was later transformed into this Palace of Arts. Its collection ranges from Egyption art of 5000BC to nineteenth century work. Hey, just look at this Mona Lisa Smile and her eyes follow you wherever you go.I could just spend days in here among all these old Masters and all that Beauty. Love that Venus of Milo.
